The book by name ' the hurt is a lonly hunter' describes two friends, that both of them are MUTE People. I think what makes a good frined is not who he/she is, but the actions and the sucrefise that he do towoards the friendship .I also can say that in tha book the two characters are true friends becouse of the way that they stick togather and help each other too the  end. When one is in truble or hurt the other will help.

now also i can say one thing that can contraduct that they are ordanary friends ,is the fact that they are mute. Its actualy very amazing friendship between two people. Becouce you dont see such a thing every day!

Sacrifice and being willing to help do seem like the qualities we expect from friends.
I'm a little unclear about a few things that you say though. What do you mean 'what makes a good friend is not who he/she is'? And why would being mute contradict our normal assumptions about friendship? I'm not asking about the kind of people they are (mute, men, etc.) but rather the way they interact.
